Turkey has been engaged in talks with Japan since last year to build country's second nuclear power plant in Sinop in the north. However, talks were interrupted after the massive earthquake that hit Japan last March.

Minister Yildiz said Turkey would also negotiate a reduction in natural gas prices with executives of the Russian company.
Yildiz's remarks came after Gazprom cut down the price of natural gas it was selling to Italian EDISON company.
